As president of BAC Inc., John S. Carusone possesses a broad banking background spanning over twenty-five years. Prior to assuming the presidency of BAC in 1987, Mr. Carusone was affiliated with Bank of New England Corporation and Connecticut Bank and Trust which were subsequently acquired by Fleet Financial Corporation of Providence, Rhode Island.
He has held a variety of both line and staff positions in banking. Mr. Carusone was Senior Vice President and Director of Corporate Planning at the Bank of New England Corporation in Boston.
His other responsibilities have included strategic planning, financial/economic analysis as well as mergers and acquisitions. He has been a principal architect in over forty successful mergers and acquisitions. In addition Mr. Carusone has held positions as Senior Vice President, Corporate Finance; Vice President and Manager of Cash Management, and Vice President and Manager of Correspondent Banking. He has also been a commercial lending officer and loan workout specialist in the oil and gas industry.
Mr. Carusone received a BA from Brown University where he studied economics and government and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
As Senior Vice President of BAC, Patrick J. Lapera has an extensive financial business background of over 10 years. Mr. Lapera has previously held an executive position with a holding company. He possesses broad experience in bank mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, capital structure, corporate finance, financial analysis and bank formations. He has participated in numerous bank and branch merger transactions, bank and trust company formations, corporate finance, acquisition and strategic planning assignments. Mr. Lapera received a BS from the University of Scranton, cum laude, in accounting, an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and a JD from the Syracuse University College of Law, cum laude.
Mr. Major is Vice President of BAC. Mr. Major is responsible for data processing and applications programming development for all of BAC' s proprietary models and data bases. Mr. major has over twenty-five years of application programming experience and has been employed at a variety of banks in upper management programming positions. His expertise includes on-line programming as well as remote distributive systems.
